Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Station
8100 Georgia Avenue
Silver Spring, Maryland

The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad was the original rail line from the port of Baltimore, Maryland, west to the Ohio River at Wheeling and Parkersburg, West Virginia. Now part of the CSX network, it includes the oldest operational railroad bridge in the world.

The B&O Railroad Station was boarded up in the early 1960s and was not used or maintained until MarChuk Construction Company Inc began work at the turn of the century under the direction of Montgomery Preservation. MarChuk performed a complete interior and exterior restoration of the historic railroad station including mechanical and electrical systems, slate roof repairs, restoration of floors and doors, and replicating historic trim to match existing profiles.
