Mark A. Berry, Vice President

Mr. Berry has over 24 years of construction experience. He has completed a four year carpenter apprentice program and attended Montgomery College for Construction Management. In 1985, Mr. Berry joined a Washington, DC based company as an apprentice and was promoted through the ranks to Executive Superintendent and Safety Officer. He has completed the Superintendent Training Program offer by the Association of General Contractors and taken classes dealing with construction law, safety, management, and scheduling. All of these prepared Mr. Berry to open his own company in the year 2000.

As Vice president and co-owner of MarChuk Construction, Mr. Berry is solely responsible for management of the field operations. His duties include overseeing all superintendents, coordination of material and equipment, and purchasing additional material and equipment as necessary. Mr. Berry is also in charge of the hiring and firing of field employees, coordinating manpower on numerous concurrent projects, and decides promotions within the corporate structure.

As Safety Officer, Mr. Berry is ultimately responsible for the overall safety of MarChuk employees, their subcontractors, and owner personnel. He has extensive, certified training in OSHA regulations including OSHA 10 and OSHA 40 Courses. It is Mr. Berry's duty to effectively educate all on-site personnel in the means and methods of jobsite safety and to assure proper preventative measures are in place at all times.

Away from work, Mr. Berry enjoys spending time with his family, camping, and coaching his daughter's soccer team.
