Charles M. Sanata, President After graduating from Slippery Rock University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology, Mr. Sanata joined a Washington, DC based company specializing in construction services. He worked his way up the corporate chain to reach Vice President and Chief Estimator. After 15 years, Mr. Sanata was prepared to open his own company. As president and co-owner of MarChuk Construction Company, Mr. Sanata is responsible for all corporate decisions including quality control, safety enforcement, and employee hiring, raises, year-end bonuses, and promotions. As chief estimator, Mr. Sanata is solely responsible for all estimating. Duties include quantity take-off, pricing, scope coordination, subcontractor evaluations, and issuance of subcontract and purchase order awards. As Senior Project Manager, Mr. Sanata is responsible for the day-to-day progress of numerous concurrent projects. Duties included scheduling, budget reviews, subcontractor coordination, and daily communication with the projects superintendent and owners representative. Mr. Sanata was also responsible for the supervision of other MarChuk employees including assistant project managers and office accountants. Outside of work, Mr. Sanata enjoys coaching his daughter's softball team, golfing, and spending time with his family.
